Volunteer Job Descriptions
Mailing Support
Responsibilities: Assist with shipping registrant t-shirts and hospital kits. This includes pulling items, sorting, placing them in boxes or envelopes, labeling, and shipping.
Skills Needed: Ability to follow instructions, physical ability to lift and move items, repetitive movement, and a team player.
Benefits: Hands-on experience in event preparation, opportunity to see behind-the-scenes operations, physical activity, complimentary t-shirt, food and beverage.
Day-of Set Up Volunteer
Responsibilities: Assist in setting up tables, chairs, signage, decorations, and equipment as per the event manager.
Skills Needed: Ability to follow instructions, physical ability to lift and move items, team player.
Benefits: Hands-on experience in event preparation, opportunity to see behind-the-scenes operations, physical activity, complimentary t-shirt, food and beverage.
Registration Volunteer
Responsibilities: Greet attendees, assist with check-in, provide event materials, and answer initial questions.
Skills Needed: Friendly demeanor, good organizational skills, basic computer proficiency.
Benefits: Meet new people, be the first point of contact for attendees, complimentary T-shirt, food and beverage.
Activation Booth Volunteer
Responsibilities: Manage an activation booth, engage with attendees, explain and promote the activity or brand, and distribute materials.
Benefits: Develop public speaking and promotional skills, interact with a variety of people, be an integral part of the event experience, complimentary T-shirt, food and beverage.
Tear Down Volunteer
Responsibilities: Help dismantle and pack up equipment and supplies, take down decorations, pick up trash, label and package items to be shipped back to headquarters, ensure the venue is clean and returned to its original state.
Skills Needed: Ability to follow instructions, physical ability to lift and move heavy items, attention to detail.
Benefits: Gain experience in event logistics, opportunity for physical activity, satisfaction of completing the event successfully, complimentary T-shirt, food and beverage.

- Mandala: Assist guests with creating a mandala sand art display, honoring those we’ve lost.
- Journey Wall: Assist guests in telling them about their blood cancer/disease journey a yarn art activity.
- Magazine Photo Booth: Assist guests with our fun walk-in magazine photo opportunity!
- Photo Booth 2: Assist guests with our fun social media photo booth!
- Life Size Cake Decorating: Assist guests with writing notes and coloring our giant slice of re-birthday cake.
- Line Monitoring: Ensure guests can participate in activities safely. Ex. face painting, henna, art…
