NMDP Gala in New York
We are seeking volunteers to support the NMDP Gala in New York City to deliver an exceptional experience for every guest while ensuring the evening runs seamlessly.
We rely on supporters like you to move our mission forward. The NMDP Gala honors the progress we’ve made and the future we’re building together—demonstrating the collective good when we can achieve when we unite as one. We look forward to uniting together for our NMDP Gala in New York City on Thursday, May 7th, 2026 at the Cipriani 25 Broadway in Manhattan.
Volunteers are key to the success of this event, and we are deeply grateful for your time, energy, and commitment to NMDP!

Volunteer Roles
Greeters & Wayfinders: In this role you will greet Gala guests and direct them accordingly to Registration, the VIP Reception, or Cocktail Reception and answer general questions. As guests transition to dinner, volunteers will support with directing guests to their correct table.
This role requires comfort being on your feet and engaging with guests throughout the evening.
Registration & Check-out: This role includes welcoming and checking in Gala guests, collecting contact and payment information, sharing table numbers, and answering any general questions guests may have.
Volunteers must be comfortable using technology, as this role includes interacting with digital tools and guest information.
Post‑Program Support (Check‑Out)
Following the event, volunteers will assist with guest check‑out to ensure payment information is on file and all donations are accurately confirmed. If you are unable to stay through check‑out, please notify us after completing registration.
Optional Fund‑a‑Need Support
Toward the end of the program, volunteers may also have the option to support the Fund‑a‑Need (giving appeal) as a spotter. Spotters are positioned around the perimeter of the ballroom and help direct the auctioneer’s attention to guests who raise their bid cards.
